Job Description

Our client is renowned luxury hotel architecture firm seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to lead our MEP Technical Services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, coupled with excellent leadership and project management skills. This role will be responsible for overseeing the technical delivery of MEP services across a range of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

- Provide Technical Services Advisory to ensure adherence to Design Brand Standards for new-build, conversion, re-branding and refurbishment projects from the design stage through to hotel opening.
- Prepare engineering services briefs for new project, review and comment on consultants designs for efficiency, appropriateness in design and operational issues.
- Provide engineering input/advice for due diligence process on potential new/conversion and/or renovation of existing hotels and conduct pre-opening reviews relative to Brand Standards.
- Conduct regular and periodic site visits to assigned projects for the purposes of ensuring compliance with Brand Standards.
- Conduct technical inspections as required of potential or existing properties and complete Property Improvement Plans (PIPs).
- Review design and construction standards periodically and contribute to the process of maintaining the Brand Standards in line with the sustainable technologies.
- Provide advice and direction to Hotels DOEs on Standards and Procedures, Fire, Life & Safety and Environment issues.
- Identify, develop, document and implement sustainability initiatives related to decarbonization, waste management, energy and water efficiency efforts.

Requirements:
Minimum 8 to 12 years experience in a lead role in consultancy or hotel technical services. Experience in hospitality projects will be an added advantage.
- A degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, preferably with a focus on design, construction, or technical services.
- Recognised professional qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering or related discipline.
- Familiarity with sustainability programs including Green Mark, LEED, Earthcheck etc
- Experience in energy and sustainability technology identification and implementation would be an advantage
- Good understanding of design and construction standards to ensure processes are in compliance to Brand Standards
- Proactive team-player, independent and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
