Site Engineer NI-MOD

Position: NI-MOD Site Engineer
Location: As assigned
Salary Range: Up to $5,000 (Commensurate based on experience)
Work Days: 5.5 day week

Objective: Responsible for assisting the Project Lead on supervising the progress of site works and ensuring that the necessary measures to guarantee the project management targets are in place.



Responsibilities

Work with Project Manager to manage project related tasks to achieve the project objectives on time and within the cost target by strictly enforcing quality, safety, and customer satisfaction throughout the entire duration of the project.
Ensure performance targets are achieved.
Provide regular site progress update status to project manager.
Ensure compliance to Schindler Organizational Norms, policies, procedures and requirements of the process and quality hold points defined in the work instructions of the Top Range Excellence / Fulfilment Plus process.
Ensure product line-based installation checklists are progressively checked, signed and filed
Conduct toolbox meeting minimum 2 times / month
Monitor and review overall installation and T & C timeline and preparation of catch-up proposal, if applicable.
Conduct weekly site progress meeting with subcontractors, monitor and supervise to ensure the subcontractors comply to the quality procedures & standard of workmanship. Checking on quality and quantity of work by subcontractors.
Preparation of detailed program for the site team to follow accordingly & completed in time.
Resolve drawing discrepancies & technical difficulties with Drawing team.
Coordinates between sub-contractors/vendors/internal departments and monitor site manpower / material / equipment demands to meet schedules.
Liaise with the Consultants on the submission related to structural works and Drawing Department.
Plan all works on site, including program schedules and construction methods, forecast equipment, material and manpower requirement, and control usage and wastages of all.
Adherence to safety practices in the workplace.


Requirements

Diploma / Degree in Engineering, Civil Engineering or Construction Management
Experienced for more than three years in similar roles in building / civil projects or in the elevator and escalator industry.
Experience in construction, installation, and site co-ordination management.
Good spoken and written English
IT Skills: MS-Office, MS- Project, SAP, Share Point.
