Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing client relationships, and mentoring a high-performing sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy and Planning:
o Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company goals and revenue targets.
o Accountable for the sales of scientific, laboratory, and research equipment within the Life Science Industry.
o Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify new sales opportunities.
2. Team Leadership:
o Recruit, train, and mentor the sales team to ensure consistent performance and professional development.
o Set individual and team sales targets and monitor progress regularly.
o Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
3. Client Relationship Management:
o Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
o Conduct demonstrations and provide training to the research community
o Address client needs and concerns promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
4. Sales Operations:
o Monitor sales metrics and generate reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
o Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales efforts with company objectives.
o Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance related to the sales department.
5. Market Development:
o Identify and pursue opportunities to expand market presence and increase market share.
o Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus). Life Science experience is a plus.
• Experience: 3 years’ experience in Sales and has a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Prior experience in the life science industry is a plus.
• Skills:
o Strong leadership and team management abilities.
o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
o Strategic thinking and problem-solving aptitude.
o Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
o Ability to analyze data and trends to make informed decisions.
