Job Description
St Vincent Home is a sheltered home for elderly residents in the community in need of a place to stay. Set up in 1979 in collaboration with the Society of St Vincent de Paul, St Vincent Home provides long-term housing and accommodations for seniors on the Public Assistance Scheme, with the aim of enhancing their quality of life and assisting them in maintaining agency, independence, and dignity. Residents have the freedom of managing their own activities of daily life as far as possible, and play an active part in the upkeep and maintenance of the home. and would like to invite suitable candidates to apply for the position of:
Resident Care Staff
Job Description:
Attend to residents’ needs at night. Ensure the safety, comfort and well-being of the residents and report residents’ needs to the Administrator
Perform general housekeeping to maintain cleanliness of the Home premises
Collaborate with staff to deliver quality care services to residents (eg. vital signs taking)
Accompany residents for follow-up appointments
Assist and participate in residents’ recreational, occupational, social and therapy programmes
Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records
Maintain work operations by following policies and procedures
Protect organization’s value by keeping resident information confidential
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
Must be able to stay in the Home at night
Working Hours : 6 days, capped at 44 hours per week
Key Requirements:
Relevant experience would be an advantage
Entry level is welcome as long as with compassion, caring and thoughtfulness
Able to perform the night-shift duty
Conversational English
Enjoy working with elderly
Able to communicate with team members and maintain good teamwork
Physical fit to handle the needs of care residents
Able to commence soonest
