Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Finance Manager

Department: Accounting

Location: Singapore

Reports To: Director

Summary:

The Assistant Finance Manager is responsible for all aspects of the accounting department. This includes preparing financial statements and reports, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, preparing and managing budgets and forecasts, and overseeing the work of junior accounting staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices and payments, and reconciling accounts.
Reconcile accounts, including bank accounts, credit card accounts, and customer and vendor accounts.
Prepare and manage budgets and forecasts, including tracking spending and revenue, and forecasting future financial performance.
Oversee the work of junior accounting staff, including providing training and guidance, and reviewing their work.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
2-3 years of experience in an accounting role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional accounting certification, such as the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
Experience in an accounting firm environment.
Experience with auditing and tax preparation.
