Job Description
- Contribute to the cloud enablement, development, documentation, delivery, and support of AWS IaaS and PaaS services using Azure DevOps repository / pipelines, Terraform and other scripting languages, including Golang, Python, JSON, Bash Script, or YAML.
- Understand the AWS services consumed by the application and write terraform configurations to provision the necessary resources – especially compute (both ec2 and eks types), networking, database, and observability.
- Assist to debug and analyze cloud infrastructure deployment issues, or application failures and provide necessary solution to progress from dead lock situations.
- Assist internal customers with re-architecting and migrating their applications to AWS Platform.
- Support AWS IaaS and PaaS services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, service onboarding, capacity planning and launch reviews.
- Own and deliver application migration stories in the AWS Platform sprints and peer-reviewing with other team members.
- Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
- Be a member of the support and on-call rotation for the AWS Platform team, responding to platform or customer issues and driving them through to successful resolution.
- Partner with Cloud Site Reliability Engineers (SRE) to help (and mentor) them while they triage and diagnose technical support requests.
- Help ensure that the AWS Platform team is aware of any security defects or vulnerabilities in their service offerings and help drive patches or configuration changes to protect the service offerings and the applications that run on them.
- Continually self-educate on changes and improvements in the AWS Platform hosting world, to be able to continually self-criticise and improve the AWS Platform team’s technical and service offerings.

Desirable Skills
- 5+ Years of experience in AWS IaaS and PaaS services.
- Must have hands on experience in AWS IaaS and PaaS service onboarding using Terraform, Azure DevOps repo / pipelines, and one or more scripting languages, such as Golang, Python, JSON, Bash Script, or YAML.
- AWS/Azure/Terraform Associate and Professional level certifications would be advantageous.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) qualification would be advantageous.
- Academic or Professional Education/Qualifications: IT related tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
