Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The core responsibility will be to supervise and attend to the needs of the residents in our shelter. The person will need to assist in programmes and help to manage volunteers. Other duties include performing housekeeping duties and to ensure security and safety.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Attending to the needs of residents
a) Receive new admissions - allocate room, pantry, Admission Starter Kit and orientation briefing.
b) Repair works and timely response to repairs / items requests

2. Supervision of residents
a) Help in child-minding of children when their mothers are attending programmes / online court, counselling sessions etc.
b) Manage situations and supervise residents to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents

3. Assist in Programmes for residents
a) Help out in the running of programmes
b) Manage and work with volunteers in running the programmes
c) Accompany residents for outings and events

4. Housekeeping duties include:
a) Clean and set up rooms and dormitories for new admissions before their arrival and after discharge.
b) Conduct routine room checks and work with residents to meet with the acceptable cleanliness and safety standards set by the shelter.
c) To support the Residential Supervisor in the management of rations and donations-in-kind.
d) Repair works and timely response to repairs / items requests

5. Security and safety duties include:
a) Perform guardhouse duty as per designated shift, with flexibility to changes in shift whenever necessary.
b) To keep vigilant and report any incidents of concern and support the Operations Supervisor in incident management whenever necessary.
c) To attend to emergencies after the shelter’s operating hours and inform management accordingly.
d) To monitor and regularly update residents’ attendance and movement record.

6. To perform other related duties that may be assigned by the Operations Supervisor or Centre Director.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Secondary level schooling
- 2-3 years' relevant experience
- Matured and able to work on weekends and night shifts
- Stay-in staff
Salary:
1.800,00 SGD Monthly
