Job Description

The Trader holds the responsibility for the timely and precise execution of equity, index futures, and FX trades, encompassing all levels of complexity. They are also expected to communicate effectively within the global trading and portfolio management teams. Additionally, the role involves refining trading systems and workflows.
The Trading team, accountable for executing and managing trades throughout the firm, works to support the effective execution of IDLG’s investment strategy. This position is pivotal in continuously refining trading systems and workflows across the globe.

[Roles & Responsibilities]
- Execute and manage trades across all levels of liquidity, complexity, and size.
- Collaborate with Portfolio Managers to ensure trading objectives are achieved.
- Monitor and evaluate execution performance across various dimensions (e.g., country, trading venue, broker, strategy, trader, execution strategy, portfolio) utilizing both in-house and third-party transaction cost analysis.
- Engage with other departments (Portfolio Management, Research, Technology, and Compliance) to spearhead and implement cross-functional initiatives related to technology, compliance, workflow, and research.
- Oversee the settlement process and coordinate with global offices.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior team members.

[Expectations]
- Experience in Equities trading or demonstrable knowledge thereof.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication.
- Ability to function and prioritize in a fast-paced and demanding environment, managing complex situations effectively.
- Advanced understanding of execution analytics, trading strategies, and risk management techniques.
- Previous experience within a Trading department.
- Essential proficiency in MS Excel.
- Familiarity with various trading technology tools, including OMS (Charles River experience preferred) and Trade Cost Analysis tools.

[Qualifications]
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience, ideally in a quantitative subject.
- Minimum of two years of financial services experience.
- Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative methodology.
- Completion of applicable trading exams and possession of required certifications/licensures for trading preferred.
- Experience with SQL and knowledge of a relevant programming language.
