Laboratory Technician

Research & Laboratory
Assist in the management of all laboratory resources, including lab assistants, hardware, and for the laboratory general serviceability, security and general cleanliness.
To maintain an Inventory of equipment, reagents, chemicals and other laboratory consumables.
To assist to manage a care programme for all laboratory equipment, including the schedule preventive maintenance and required calibration.
Collate, and organise timely and accurate laboratory and analysis reports of the company to the directors as required; and measure and monitor laboratory productivity for the company.
Actively seek source and suppliers of laboratory chemicals, reagents, equipment and wares to form business partnerships and relationships for the benefit of the company.
To liaise with engineering & technical research resources of the company and its subsidiaries.
To conceptualise, initiate and implement the environmental, health, safety and security policies, plans and systems of the laboratory.
Designated management representative, and lead the company ISO 14000 preparation, monitoring, management & audits.
Custodian of all required environmental, business & other regulatory permits, and organise applications, renewals and submissions for compliance pertaining to the laboratory.
Others
To be a member in the company’s environmental management committee, providing support in maintaining and managing the EMS system for ISO 14000.
To perform other tasks as assigned by the company not limited to the above mentioned.
Job Requirements
At least 2 years of related experience in Science & Technology/Laboratory or equivalent.
Have hand-on experience on ICP, XRF, GC, KF and other measurement tools
Must be knowledgeable on government policies and licenses regarding EHS
